The most infuriating argument transphobes make, IMHO, is that puberty blockers cause transition. The same people who tout inflated desistance rates from 30 yrs ago when children at gender clinics were mostly effeminate boys whose homophobe parents wanted conversion therapy...
...now turn around and say that vastly reduced desistance is, somehow, someway, the fault of the treatment (rather than the obvious explanation of a huge improvement in diagnosis). It's maddening. There's no attempt to engage with research in a good faith way.
After wishing for transphobes to engage with medical research in good faith, my second wish to have them put a date on when the huge increase in detransition rates they've been predicting is going to hit, so we can wait, then say definitively if that prediction was correct.
