I wish we talked about that more. I tweeted earlier about how I don't at all regret starting HRT, but I wish someone would have told me,"Your dysphoria will improve but your self-esteem is gonna take a huge hit when acne ravages your skin." Being prepared would have been nice.
My dysphoria got worse post-accepting I was trans but pre-passing. This was something I was prepared for, but even so I had moments wondering if I was a victim of social contagion.
Post-passing it's night and day, and I had moments of euphoria that let me know I was on the right track, but the in-between time was pretty unpleasant ngl.
Big same! I had such a rough time in between coming out and getting on T, bc most of my dysphoria was voice and facial/body hair related (with some chest). Dysphoria down loads, but a body image hit with the acne. I had p good skin through my teens and 20s so it was a SHOCK
