If police who lawfully do their jobs will end up doing things like this, then what do we mean by insisting that they're "good" people in some nebulous sense that absolves them of any responsibility for their actions to prop up unjust policies and enforce unjust laws?

I'm mindful that all our jobs and daily lives involve being complicit with injustices, but I don't think it's unfair to draw a line somewhere between buying clothing you suspect was produced unethically bc it's all you can afford and evicting poor families on Christmas Eve.
