Bald men do not wear hats because we are trying to trick you into thinking we are not bald. In the summer, our heads sunburn. In the winter, they are cold. Because they do not have very much hair on them.
I was completely braced for male pattern baldness when I started testosterone but, whaddya know, I seem to have been blessed with naturally thick hair like my dad, and unlike my brother (who's ten yrs younger). Genes, huh?
