I started HRT in Tennessee, continued in MA, continued in CA, and recently continued again in VA, and I never let my previous doctors know I was moving. Transphobes would try to count that as 3 people "detransitioning" because my past doctors don't know where I went next.
Trans people live lives on the margins, which means treatment with a particular doctor/clinic might be interrupted for financial or geographical reasons. I've never voluntarily stopped HRT. I did once go about a month between shots, bc I couldn't get an appointment in time.
same. i was off for nearly a year. i'm coming up on two years of HRT on March 13th, but i actually first started in August of 2017, was on for four or five months, and wound up unable to afford it for over a year. and what a miserable time that was.
Nearly a yr sounds MISERABLE. I struggled with just 4-ish missed shots.
I had to stop taking my meds for four years because I was unemployed. I don't fucking recommend it
