I started HRT in Tennessee, continued in MA, continued in CA, and recently continued again in VA, and I never let my previous doctors know I was moving. Transphobes would try to count that as 3 people "detransitioning" because my past doctors don't know where I went next.
Trans people live lives on the margins, which means treatment with a particular doctor/clinic might be interrupted for financial or geographical reasons. I've never voluntarily stopped HRT. I did once go about a month between shots, bc I couldn't get an appointment in time.
Transphobes love to prade the stat that most children grow out of it, totally obvious to the fact that they included people who weren't even trans, and people who just never called back or decided to elsewhere.
The majority of studies back up trans affirmative healthcare, but some people seem to just want yo cherry pick them to justify their views.
