What an interesting analogy! The biggest threat from guns is in the home, from accident and suicide. But what anti-gun activists do is use the visibility of mass shootings to advocate for policies that will reduce suicides and accidents. You're doing the opposite of that.

I know you did, which is why it's a great opportunity to talk about the difference between gun safety/anti-violence activism and transphobic activists, who obsess about the flashy non-problem in a way that hurts real victims by confusing the public.

If you cared about women you'd find a way to channel transphobic public energy into policies that help women in their homes and families- like gun-safety and anti-gun-violence activists do. It's a great example of how you could be good, but choose not to be.

No, you misunderstand. I'm saying you're not an effective activist for protecting women and girls. I'm sorry, the language of "good" and "bad" must have confused you into thinking I meant something about morality. I'm purely talking about effectiveness.

Yeah, I don't know who you're talking to or about, but it's not me. I'm just saying that women aren't, statistically speaking, at risk of stranger rape in women's restrooms but are at risk in their homes, from their family members, which you agree with.

I'm further saying that focusing on this tiny but sensationalized risk of stranger rape in public restrooms takes resources and attention away from the real risk of a known-rapist in the home, which you don't seem to agree with but I'm not sure why.

It's all quite straightforward, and I've been nothing but polite while you seem to keep finding ways to shoehorn insults into the conversation. I'm growing a bit weary of being insulted, so I think I'll end this here.
