I'm strongly committed to nonviolence (also, btw, a radical idea), but past that I'm basically down for unions, socialism, anarchy, feminism, egalitarianism, communism... really whatever we can get up and running on the ground.

Being transgender is such a radicalizing experience. When you're part of a group that is painted as extreme left for such things as "wearing clothing" or "asking people to use our legal names" it's hard to take any claims that such-and-such groups are extreme at face value.

it was definitely the first step towards my current political stances, which are muuuch farther to the left than they were before transitioning. not that i was ever anywhere near being conservative, but when i was younger i was much more of a dweeby liberal.
