I understand the discomfort but o really dont take issue with saying "i am not a target of transmisogyny and cant imagine a world where i am. It has never been a background radiation of my life, and I feel that is a privilege"
But trans men can be targets of transmisogyny. I can easily imagine a situation where someone looked at me, clocked I was trans, mistook me for a trans woman, and subjected me to transmisogyny on that basis. Trans men aren't even exempt, even if we're not the intended targets.

I can't imagine that happening to me, and it still sounds more like a thought experiment than any real material danger. It's absolutely a possibility that a trans man is mistaken for a trans woman and receives retribution, but i feel like such an interaction wouldn't define -

It happens to trans men pretty regularly- bc trans men are invisible when people clock us they often think we're trans women. Now that I think of it it also happens to cis women. I have multiple butch women friends who have been excluded from women's restrooms on that basis.
