Convince me that this TME acronym is more than a passive aggressive attack on trans men because I'm starting to get annoyed.
If I came up for an acronym that grouped trans women with cis men and AMAB NBs is would be a blatantly transphobic attempt to undermine their gender identity. So, hey, huh, yeah, maybe don't come up with an acronym that does that to trans men, pleasethankyou?
Ive only ever seen it used in trans spaces to discuss the unique harms affecting trans women and people who seek to transition to a more feninine expression. I feel like its incredibly relevant with more nonbinary people who were afab and present as feminine and ID as trans.
I understand the discomfort but o really dont take issue with saying "i am not a target of transmisogyny and cant imagine a world where i am. It has never been a background radiation of my life, and I feel that is a privilege"
