I'm not sure what you're asking. If you're asking if affirmation is a good treatment for eating disorders you're misunderstanding the argument (or pretending to).

The point is we don't currently have good treatments for AN. We do have good treatments for GD. But somehow AN, which we don't know even how to treat, is used as an example of why GD sufferers shouldn't be treated with effective treatments.
