After trying to explain my big upcoming story to my parents I am now starting to appreciate just how difficult simply explaining who "detransitioners" are and what they believe to a lay audience is actually going to be.

Isn’t a detransitioner eg a woman who thought she was/wanted to be a man, but no longer does? Doesn’t seem hard to comprehend Or does it get confusing because some believe people can change sex but don’t believe it’s possible to change back?
I think its confusing to people who barely know what transition is and just aren't really up on the sub communities and labels people use.
