I've got that "so-and-so declined to be interviewed on the record and, when offered the opportunity to dispute specific facts on background, further declined to do so" kind of journalism-y feeling. It's a feeling like you have someone dead to rights, and they know it.

Not really, I mean, sometimes people have to speak to skeptical journalists if they want their side of a story to be told. Being skeptical of a source surely can't disqualify me. Unless you're saying they don't trust me because I'm trans?
