After trying to explain my big upcoming story to my parents I am now starting to appreciate just how difficult simply explaining who "detransitioners" are and what they believe to a lay audience is actually going to be.

Isn’t a detransitioner eg a woman who thought she was/wanted to be a man, but no longer does? Doesn’t seem hard to comprehend Or does it get confusing because some believe people can change sex but don’t believe it’s possible to change back?
-
No I think it’s just because grammatically they don’t know whether the rule is to use the post detransition pronoun or the pre one so they have no idea what’s happening. It’s possible to overthink these things
