There's even a dynamic I've witnessed in online groups where people suffering from particularly severe gender dysphoria are repeatedly told that it's impossible to change one's sex- weaponizing the severity of their condition against them for the purpose of recruiting them.

Imagine being severely gender dysphoric and overcome with despair that it's impossible to ever change your sex, only to be told that you're right & no treatment will ever help you. It's sick.

Yes, I do feel for that 1-3%, but to be fair the number of people who regret nose jobs is 22% so I don't feel all that bad. No medical treatment has 100% success.
