Here's what I believe about trans people: Most trans people suffer from gender dysphoria, and the only evidence based treatment for gender dysphoria is transition, which can be customized for the individual but usually includes social and medical components.

For the small number of trans people who don't suffer from gender dysphoria: Transition may not be medically necessary, but I see no reason to restrict their freedom to do with their bodies whatever they like.

My belief about people's "true" gender is that I am agnostic and don't necessarily know what such a thing even means. For practical purposes, trans people can be treated as members of whatever sex or gender they say they are w/o any harm done.

Last but not least, my belief about transition as treatment for GD youth is that they are evidence based, they can and should change if the evidence changes, but that they're often held to standards unlike any other medical treatments, which is unfair to the youth involved.

The person I'm quote tweeting? Just that accusations of trans ideology are meaningless fearmongering with roots in anti-Semitism (specifically the idea that Jewish intellectuals are trying to pollute and ruin white Western culture & weaken whites so they can take over).
