As soon as I had the thought that, if I wanted to, I could just transition that hatred started to ease a little bit. If being a woman wasn't this odious imposition on me, then there was nothing to be angry at women about.

In fact, I found I quite liked women. And I realized that they had a lot of sexism to deal with, and that these sexist attitudes were what I'd been unconsciously accepting and magnifying in my own mind.

It's hugely embarrassing to think on what I sexist jerk I was. But, it's hard when you feel you've been forced to be a woman against your will, and the entire culture is giving you all these reasons to hate women, not to connect those things.
