Kids movies about Santa Claus are so fascinating. They're always about Santa needing children to believe in him, which can't possibly have any sociological purpose other than to instill doubt.

I've never seen a movie where the sun needed the belief of children in order to keep shining. Real things don't rely on the belief of children to exist. We want children to believe in Santa now, but know that one day they wont.
