It's harmful for youth to be doubted and undermined and forced to play a role they don't fit. You don't just shake that off in adulthood- it causes permanent damage.

I'm jealous of the relative mental health trans boys growing up now will enjoy. I love trans men, but for the most part we're a more anxious, self-doubting, self-shaming group than could possibly be normal.
