      It's riddled throughout these hate groups' messages that transgender men are illegitimate because they are girls. It is implied- taken for granted, really- that girls can't think for themselves or make responsible choices, and need the anti-trans crusaders to save them.

      This isn't about protecting people. We know that bc transition medicine helps people. We know that bc detransition is rare. We know that because every person- whatever their sex- has the right to make medical decisions about their own body, in consultation with their doctor.

      Groups like this are not protecting people, they're protecting bodies. They're about protecting breasts, ovaries, and uteri, from the free and independent choices of their owners.

      As trans men we have to fight these attempts to reduce us to reproductive organs. To force our bodies to conform to what these groups consider safe, pleasing, pretty, wholesome, appropriate. To force us to be GIRLS, a word that for them means helpless, voiceless, victims.
