The phobia around trans men isn't about helping people, it's about preserving female body parts. Breasts in particular are talked about in an unctuous fashion, as if their preservation is an obvious good we all agree to.

No one has any real stake in the preservation of another person's breast tissue. Many more people regret their tattoos than will ever regret top surgery, yet somehow we manage to live with that and not have a societal panic over it.
