Trans men dont talk enough about the absolute poison that is female socialization. Even now, the pressure to be nice, kind, empathetic, and put others first continues to subtly undermine me at every junction.

But, for trans men, that formative experience of being expected to deny your own needs as the only measure of your goodness and worth is something you don't easily lose. Even trying to lose it you are constantly second guessing, terrified of going too far and becoming "toxic".

There was a tweet in between the first tweet and the but, and I deleted it because it was AN EXAMPLE OF THE EXACT SAME THING I can't talk about a transmasc experience without saying "such and such group has it harder, please don't think we'd actually advocate for ourselves!"
