I'm not so sure these assertions are universally true. Outside of Maryland and Massachusetts, which "bluest states" have moderate, do nothing governors? I'm also not seeing evidence that progressive Dems run behind establishment ones in general elections?

Like were there any progressive Senate candidates in pivotal states? It seems like an assumption to just claim progressives would do worse in swing states. I don't know why Dems are so allergic to their base.
The Democratic establishment does everything imaginable to strangle progressive candidates in their cribs and then people wonder why progressive candidates have so much trouble getting elected.
