As an outsider to the Democratic Party, it looks to me like the centrists got everything they wanted. They got the "most electable" (least progressive) Democrat at the top of the ticket, and they still got habitual third party leftists like me to shut up and vote for Democrats.
If centrists are looking at their losses in the house and senate and thinking the problem is the left, they must be smoking something progressives recently made legal.
