What these Christian agencies want is to match young children in the foster system with Christian foster parents. But, the system doesn't really need more parents who want to foster or adopt young children. It needs parents willing to foster LGBTQ male teens.

So, these Christian agencies aren't really helping. They're skimming off the easiest to place children, using state resources to do so, and leaving fewer resources for kids with the most need. That is true even w/o the legal right to discriminate against same-sex couples.

But this isn't enough for these agencies. They want it to be even easier to suck resources away from the kids in the most need, to give to conservative Christian parents who would never accept the placement of an LGBTQ teen. They want to entrench their place as parasites.

Ironically, many of the victims, the LGBTQ youth, were themselves abused by anti-gay Christian parents. Conservative Christians create the problem of LGBTQ teens in foster care, and then do everything they can to prevent resources from going to their unwanted, cast off kids.

I'll end with this: I am a trans foster parent, and I've had the privilege of welcoming two AMAB, gender-nonconforming teens into my home in the past. They were a delight, and if I contributed to a better life for either of them I will be, in the best way, truly blessed.
