I'm a bit weirded out that this exchange from the debate: Biden: 545 children who will never see their parents. Trump: Good. Isn't getting more media play. That was the moment I most remember.

After a bit of asking around, I think I know what happened: The Trump campaign's spin is that Trump didn't say "good" he said "go ahead". In context that makes no sense- he clearly said good- but it seems they created enough doubt to cow the media into ignoring it.
