The whole vaccine-safety news cycle has been such a mindfuck. Vaccines are safe bc of the rigorous testing before being available to the public. Trump pushed to do away with that testing, because he wants a win on COVID before the election.
But if you point out Trump's attempts to undermine vaccine safety for short-term political gain, people- including people in the mainstream media- act like you're an anti-vaxxer. You absolute morons: THE TESTING IS WHY IT'S IRRATIONAL TO BE ANTI-VAX.
Vaccine == Safe has become culture war fodder in the dumbest way possible and I honestly can't believe some of the journalists who seem to have fallen into the black and white way of seeing it. Vaccines are safe because of testing. If you destroy testing you destroy safety.
