I struggled with anorexia in my youth, and am a trans man. The difference between body dysmorphia and gender dysphoria is that gender dysphoria lessens with masculinizing your body, whereas you can never fix or improve anorexia by reaching or maintaining a low weight. https://twitter.com/sathananas/status/1293966513544847360 …
In terms of complexity, anorexia is clearly more complex- it's a deep seated psychological issue that is often extremely resistant to treatment, and one of the most deadly psychiatric issues. Gender dysphoria, in comparison, is simple, straightforward, and treatable.

I have an old friend from eating disorder treatment w/ chronic anorexia. She's incredibly jealous of my recovery, and has often expressed a wish that she was a trans man so that there could be a treatment plan that worked for her, too.

Me too- the gender dysphoria cleared up with treatment, as is generally expected- what happened with you?
