I've been called an activist and a TRA. 1. I am not a member of any activist group. 2. I've never donated to any trans group, activist or otherwise. 3. I've never done any political organizing for trans rights.

This distinction between "trans people" and "trans activists is extremely insidious. By "trans people" they mean theoretical trans people who are silent and a few highly political trans people allied with GCs. Not that there's anything wrong with activism! I probably SHOULD donate to more trans causes, heck. But there's no reasonable definition of activist that would include me. I tweet about my experience and my opinions, and I'm trans. But for them that's all it takes.
