It's not easy talking about the sexism that trans men are subject to. I don't like the word "emasculating" because the concept itself is sexist, but talking sexism against trans men requires taking perspective of those who would deny me my manhood.
I don't like to acknowledge being called a woman as an insult, because it means accepting that being a woman is in some way less than. But if someone takes seeing me as a woman as the a starting point for why I'm less than, that's sexist. I can't be afraid to call it what it is.
