I was in an exchange with a TERF yesterday (I know, I know) who told me "a transmommy is not your salvation". I'm a 42-fucking-year-old man, and a married foster parent of teens. But she thought "transmommy" was relevant concept, bc I'm a trans man.
I'm sure a transmommy is a wonderful thing to have, but I am not in need of any more parents- I have two, they're in their 70s. TERF sexism makes trans men into women, and women into children. Neither step is OK.
I am glad you are speaking up about this. I see this all the time with TERFs. I have had these discussions almost word for word with them when talking about my friend who is a transgender man.
