I never call early for my testosterone prescription and am treated like a drug addict, and inevitably theres a delay due to insurance or the pharmacy not having it in stock. 2-3 day wait as a minimum, but once it took a week.
The pharmacists treat a family member with a non-controlled psych med prescription even worse. Terrible, judgemental attitudes every time (and she gets the delays too).
Definitely never ok to be abusive, but patients prescribed nartcotics/opioids/stimulants/meds for addiction are routinely discriminated against and met w stigma & suspicion (esp at large chains). We R lucky to have couple small fam-owned pharmacies here where this is less common
