What do we know about detransitioners? Where's the robust research? A study of natal males from the GID era? Not the same. Research is thwarted by politics. Detransitioners are invisible data. *No one* is tracking them. Tada! They don't exist! Funny how that works.

Hey I'm all for more research but there's literally no research supporting a wave of AFAB detransition. Theres conjecture and innuendo, but that's not the same. If you're all about evidence why not come back when you have evidence?

Detrans research is "taboo" and politically inconvenient. It is SUCH a powder keg, most will not touch it/fear job loss."Must b bc numbers r so low." Not. James Capsian tried. What happened there? Swedes may be starting bc they see the iatrogenic risks, the regret going up.

What if it's not taboo, but the people who are interested in pushing detransition narratives don't want to use their right-wing Christian money for a real study because they know or suspect the results wouldn't come out the way they want them to?

There's tons of money out there- more than enough to fund a real study or two, or three. You just gotta ask yourself- why aren't they funding the research if they're so sure it would support their theory?

As stated, political pressures in many forms is not to be understimated. Dr. Lisa Littman tried to even study this new cohort and look at what happened there.

After losing her job somewhere else. But yes, hopeful. And did you see the "cancellation" efforts there in action? All to thwart her results/prevent it from happening. She's not an ideologue.https://youtu.be/U7FI6_OKrzc

I think there were just a lot of problems with the study, honestly. She could have just asked parents in a gender clinic to talk about the rapidity of the onset of their kids gender dysphoria. If it's so common, why go to anti-trans propaganda sites if you want to investigate?

It's a truly bizarre choice, and no reason to do it since, if this is a real phenomenon, surely a study asking a wide variety of parents whose kids were being seen at gender clinics would do just as well and not seem so biased politically.

You might even say that the only reason to go to gender critical site for subjects is to ensure the data doesn't inconveniently disprove your premise.
