Similarly, now that I'm no longer transitioning, I'm not a trans man. But I was a trans man at the time.
This is always an interesting one for me. I don't disagree! I was always gender dysphoric, and transition would have helped my dysphoria at any time in my life I'd gone through it. But I became a trans man by transitioning- by availing myself of medical treatment.
You could call the pre-transition me an untreated gender dysphoric, but I wasn't a trans man until I recognized that in myself and sought treatment.
