For every detransitioner there are a hundred trans men who knew who we were and what we wanted.

Same, totally knew I would be a trans man for the rest of my life. Knew that I wanted top surgery, knew I wanted bottom surgery too!

Except ya didn't, didja? Look, let's compromise. I'm willing to take anyone over 35 and detransitioned 5 or more years ago seriously. There's plenty of trans people who fit that description (I'm one of them), so it shouldn't be hard to find detrans who can meet me on my level.

Why 5 or more years ago? That doesn’t make sense. What your reasoning? Also, I’m over 35 . So check mark there.

As I said I just don't want to be talking to a future retransitioner. You guys seem to change so quickly! Just want someone stable, okay, who has had time for their opinons and identity to settle.

I mean, I had hoped that you were going to get someone who had a more stable identity, but here's a link. Bottom line: of 16 people who expressed any regret over their transition, 10 detransitioned temporarily and then retransitioned. https://mermaidsuk.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/charing-Cross-study-nhs.pdf …

Anecdotally, my buddy Hank is a retransitioner. The only detransitioner I know personally, or knew, because now he's just a trans guy I know again.
