As individuals, detransitioners are often very nice people with understandable stories. But the purpose of people bringing attention to detransitioners and amplifying their stories is to take advantage of trans men's invisibility to discredit and deny us.

Why is it irresponsible? We know diagnosis in medicine isn't perfect. Transition surgeries have a lower rate of regret than non-transition related plastic surgery. What are detransitioners specially owed and why are they owed something special outside of normal medicine?

We don't hold cancer patients responsible for all cancer false positives. We don't hold women on birth control responsible for cases where birth control side effects are too uncomfortable to continue. Why do detransitioners think they're so interesting, so special?

Then maybe you should be working to reform all of modern medicine because let me tell you, false positives that are only found during or after surgery happen all the time in cancer treatment. With respect, you don't understand the basics of how medicine works.
