Jesse Singal used an elite journo listserv to claim trans people are subject to groupthink and less qualified to write about trans topics that include scientific questions than he is. TFW open debate means kneecapping the competition by calling their objectivity into question.
It's only unfair when we try to question his objectivity. Never when he smears ours.
(Jesse later told me privately that he admired some of my own writing on these questions... which is less than zero consolation if he's out there casting doubt on everyone like me to editors he has relationships with that I can only dream of.)
