I really want to help recruit more LGBTQ+ foster parents for my agency. I am so sick of the way people are treating trans kids in care and hope some
families could be where they thrive. Any suggestions for outreach and recruitment?
Oh, man that's a great question... I'll give it some thought bc I don't have any immediate ideas.

Thanks. I'm not in a recruiting position but recruiting is same dept. I do partner with other agencies and was thinking of trying to do a joint training, at the very least starting by being a partner to the agencies who primarily focus on lgbtq+ services

Yeah, I think local LGBTQ orgs where you are would be a good start. Maybe try your local PFLAG, even though they're for parents of LGBTQ kids rather than LGBTQ parents- since they're geared towards outreach to parents at least it's the right age group.
