If someone is causing harm unintentionally, there is at least the possibility to resolve the problem through dialogue. If someone is causing harm intentionally (hate), then dialogue is pointless.
I don't necessarily disagree, but the process doesn't work if "I don't feel hate" is employed to avoid having the conversation. I don't hate David, but the law should legally limit him from discriminating against trans job applicants, unless it's a position in a church/ministry.

You’re 100% correct. But the law should also limit those found to be using their identity as a shield to do whatever they want in the workplace. You have to admit that hiding behind discrimination in order to be a shitty employee is just as prevalent as overt discrimination
