      I don't think you hate me, David. I just think if you had your way you'd make my medical treatment illegal, have the state dictate the clothing I wear and the bathrooms I use, and perhaps confine me in a mental institution with great seriousness, love, and care.

      His anti-trans views are very extreme. He has argued explicitly against compromising in any way. He believes trans medical care is mutilation.       He thinks conservatives should not compromise on forcing us to live as our birth sex- ie, in employment situations he thinks employers should have the right to fire people for transitioning.
