Something I found unexpectedly powerful in the Disclosure documentary was seeing clips of Leslie Feinberg on a daytime talk show. She was very dynamic, engaging, entertaining- not what I pictured from reading about her.

I've internalized a view of transmasculine people as inherently a bit boring. Because that explains why we're so invisible- if we're just not that interesting. But the real reason is prejudice. I've been looking for excuses for why we're being ignored, why it's our own fault.

Trans masculine people aren't dull or timid or uninteresting or drab. We're just inconvenient. We don't fit the narrative so people pretend we're not here.

I also really enjoyed clips of Chaz Bono on DWTS. His body shape is a lot like mine and I think his movement may be too: He had a solidity to his movement rather than a more camp/femme presentation and it wasn't something I'd seen reflected before.

Anyway, I can't recommend #DisclosureDoc strongly enough. Extremely well done. When it was over I just wanted to watch it again from the start.
@SmartAssJen particularly stood out as particularly astute and emotionally honest in her segments but really everything was great.
