The foundation of the piece is that trans people's feelings of gender are relevant to what gender they are. But this is a complete nonstarter for me. I don't know what feeling like a gender means, much less find it relevant to whether trans women are women/trans men are men.
Truth be told, I was excited to read and engage with the new TERF piece on medium (https://medium.com/@aytchellis/trans-men-are-men-but-transwomen-are-not-women-7ba7a533e8a5 …) but it's hard to have much to say since I disagree with the premise.

Do cis women feel like women? Heck if I know. How would they even know? How would any of us? I know cis women don't experience gender dysphoria bc A) I've described gender dysphoria to some of them and they don't relate and B) They're not pursuing gender transition.

Feeling like one gender or another might resonate with some people- trans and cis- but it's not the basis of trans identity or trans rights. The author's just doing that TERF thing where they seize on a superficial aspect of the language and act like they've done a big gotcha.
