Trans people often treat detransitioners with kid gloves bc they feel sorry for them and recognize them as part of our community. I feel sorry for em too, but their being given a platform doesn’t help them or anyone else.

What a trans-supporting detransitioner can do is get individual support and avoid having any online or media presence. Detransitioners’ “community” treats detransers like addicts who need support to avoid retransitioning. It’s just hurting themselves more.
