The thing about him was it was just so obvious he was still dysphoric and it was eating at him- he’d admit he still cried about not being a dude in unguarded moments. I held my tongue bc people have to go through what they have to go through but it’s not like it was a surprise.

A much higher percentage of detransitioners re-transition than trans people detransition in the first place. My heart goes out to em individually but they shouldn’t be given a platform, at least not until they’ve had many years to work things out for sure this time.

(My unpopular opinion is newly transitioning trans people should pipe down for at least a couple yrs too, and I observed that in my own transition, just in case anyone’s wondering.)

If the trans community had to rely on voices who had been out for two years or more, the push for trans rights and acceptance would not be weakened in any way. If detransers had to rely on ppl who’d detransed for 2+ years to speak for em they’d be unrecognizable.
