I don't get what you mean by "boner move" if it's his choice.
He panicked, made a dumb mistake, and lost years of life as a man. Now he’s dealing with being one of the last ppl to transition in the US mil before the military ban kicks in, and it was all extremely foreseeable.

Agreed, and he’s still my friend. I’m just not inclined to make detransitioners in the abstract feel part of my community. Esp not interested in hearing their voices. The way for them to be allies is to talk to their therapists & friends and be publicly silent.
