Love that there are kids out there needing a stable home and there are people like me out here who want to give them a stable home but I never will be approved because my BMI is too high, how fun.

That's good to know
It's extremely rewarding, and can absolutely lead to adoption (although it's important not to go into it expecting to adopt bc the courts are very unpredictable).
