I agree it's foolish for me to keep expecting some new argument or interpretation of the facts that, though I disagree with it, holds together and can be followed by anyone.
I thought this would be better. It really only serves to underscore my belief that there are no intellectually honest or sincere defenses of Trump's behavior.

It’s all about pride. Trumps behavior was indefensible in 2016 when men like Grudem defended him. How can they back down and admit they’re wrong now? Trump has only solidified what we’ve long knew about him.
