Nothing in the world should be easier for the Left than calling out leftwing anti-Semitism. Just like with any form of bigotry.

I’m eager to call out left wing antisemitism when I see it, both privately and publicly, but there’s nothing easy about it when even the purest efforts to support human rights for Palestinians is considered anti-Semitic by certain right wing elements.

Bullshit. It has zero impact on your ability to call out leftwing anti-Semitism. Just your willingness or interest. If you’re not doing it, it’s because you don’t want to give your opponents what you think would be a “win”.

I agree that conservatives and Zionists are, with varying degrees of sincerity, using charges of anti-Semitism to silence pro-Palestinian activism. But that has no bearing on how easy it should be to call it out when we see it.

It does in the sense that no amount of calling out actual anti-Semitism is “enough” for certain quarters, and we will be accused of ignoring it regardless of whether we do or do not call it out. Which in turn confuses the issue of who is actually ignoring it in the first place.

You're treating 'calling out left-wing antisemitism' as if it were a move in a game of, something you only do to gain strategic advantage. It should be something that you do because it's the right thing to do.

I don’t think I’m doing that. The question is whether it’s easy or hard. And I’m saying- it’s harder than it should be bc of constant false accusations of anti-Semitism flying around. You can’t discount the effort of discerning which accusations are total bullshit.
