It’s often said that arguing w/ a transphobe won’t change the transphobe. That’s true. But, if you have an audience, it can change a lot for the audience. This is especially true if all they have is a very shallowly transphobic understanding of the questions.

There's a distinction between studies that serve the public health interests of trans people and how those studies are then received by media. Every study is treated by outlets as a gauntlet that either proves or disproves our very existence when that's not really their purpose
