for the record, i'm disappointed in the guys in their lives, not the people telling the story.

My experience has been largely positive, although I've not spent a whole lot of time immersed in dude world.

whats it been like? Internally, not just in terms of treatment. what it's LIKE to be accepted in those spaces, what masculinity feels like to you in that setting

Cis guys who know I’m trans generally try really hard to talk about sports or cars with me, in a very sweet way, such that I’m always a little sorry I can’t give them much on.

A couple times random guys at the bar (who didn’t know) tried to start shit, and I probably enjoyed that more than anything. I guess that’s weird (1/2)

But, the thing I most hated about being perceived female was everything having to be so gentle & subtle all the time. I haven’t fought anyone, probably never will, but the feeling of standing up for myself and forcing an aggressive guy to back tf off felt amazing.
